(Emergency, Temporary, Extended Family, Etc.)
“Custody” is a term that is being used less and less in Florida. Although we still commonly refer to “Custody” when talking about children. The term “Custody” has been removed from most Florida Statutes and has been replaced by phrases such as Parenting Plans and Time Sharing. However, there are still emergency matters that need attention and temporary actions that may be needed to secure your rights and secure the best interests of your child(ren). The Simmons Law Firm understands how sensitive and emotional these matters can be, when there are minor children involved. This is why we act promptly and aggressively when needed, but continually maintain our focus on the best interests of your child(ren).
